The Opportunity

As a Key Account Manager (KAM) for the Spanish market, you will be the focal point for managing and strengthening relationships with our key clients in Spain. Your primary role will be to understand customer needs, ensure their satisfaction, and drive business growth. This position involves strategic planning, effective communication, and close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to meet and exceed customer expectations.

What you'll get to do


CATEGORY GROWTH VISION & STORY SELLING
• Evaluate the category in the client/channel and identify growth opportunities.
• Define the strategy in the client/channel reconciling the objectives of each brand previously indicated by Marketing & Trade.
• Develop and sell the Action Plan to clients (external/internal).
• Provide continuous input on the client/channel needs for the Marketing Plan and Trade Plan.
• Define Commercial and Retail, Digital, and Trade investment conditions with customers.
• Competitor analysis (B&M and Digital).

 

REVENUE GROWTH MANAGEMENT
• Drive profitable growth for Puig and the customer.
• Define (and negotiate internally and externally) the necessary investment in P&L for clients and brands.
• Negotiate Commercial Conditions according to Key Account Plan objectives.
• Updated sales forecast and forecasting collaborating with Sales intelligence and S&OP.
• Monthly P&L monitoring, trade terms & A&P with support departments to avoid deviations vs Budget.
• Credit Risk Management.

 

OMNICHANNEL ACTIVATION MANAGEMENT
• Identify Omnichannel Activation opportunities.
• Negotiate the Retail and B&M and Online Trade Plan with the customer, in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Negotiate brand concessions, portfolio, novelties, and their proper implementation at the point of sale.
• Lead training plans with clients.
• Validate compliance with the agreed plan: Store checks and follow-up with the Point of Sale Managers team.

 

CUSTOMER MANAGEMENT – JOINT BUSINESS PLANNING
• Develop a sustainable and profitable long-term relationship.
• Establish a relationship with all levels of client interaction; identify, promote, and implement solutions for specific needs.
• Analyze, adjust, communicate, implement, and jointly control customer category and development plans.
• Ensure excellence in customer service through order/facturation customer monitoring/control; in collaboration with Customer Care teams.

We'd love to meet you if you have

• +4-5 years of experience as a Key Account Manager or in a similar role. Ideally from the cosmetics sector with experience dealing with retailers.
• Demonstrated success in achieving sales objectives and key account growth.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to analyze data and turn it into useful information.
• Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, or a related field.
• Office/SAP programs.
• Languages: English and Spanish.
• Competencies: leadership, results orientation, strategic thinking, excellent communication skills, negotiation ability, teamwork, change agent, and resilience.
