The Opportunity
Our Boutique Managers have keyholder responsibility; are responsible for overseeing our stores, staff, merchandise and customer service, achieving sales objectives and maintaining the highest operational and merchandizing standards. You’ll also build highly motivated teams, and coach and develop them to the next level.
What you'll get to do
Profit and Sales Generation:
- Meeting sales goals
- Analysing available sales reports and data to determine the needs of the business, setting business strategies
- Set individual sales goals for Fragrance Consultants, motivating the team to achievement
- Support the development of the Fragrance Consultants skills, ensuring team are fluent in all aspects of product knowledge
- Demonstrate sales leadership, playing an active role on the selling floor
Customer Service:
- Ensure all Fragrance Consultants provide the highest level of customer service
- Build and manage the client database, utilising to increase sales and customer contact
- Resolve all customer problems and complaints quickly and effectively, assisting team members where needed
- Manage all special events inclusive of collection previews, client events, sale events and centre events, etc.
- Empower Fragrance Consultants to provide the best customer service possible
Operations:
- Ensure correct staffing levels
- Look after areas of risk management, including physical security, store cash controls, and inventory management
- Deliver relevant team member training, i.e., POS systems
- Conduct stock inventories as needed
- Understand and execute cash control procedures including bank deposits, safe funds, petty cash
Visual Merchandising:
- Implement merchandising directives and ensure execution of effective merchandising strategies
- Partner with operations, logistics & product teams to ensure the right assortment for the store, communicating inventory needs to support the business goal
- Ensure the selling floor is always picture perfect and reflective of current visual direction
Human Resources:
- Working with the Talent Acquisition team to ensure all vacancies are filled in a timely manner with the right candidate
- Work with the Education team to deliver all training programs and initiatives to develop the Fragrance Consultants
- Continually evaluate the performance of each Fragrance Consultant and provide constant feedback to ensure results
- Resolve all human resources issues in a timely and effective manner, partnering with HR when necessary
- Ensure a high standard of personal grooming is always maintained in line with company standards and guidelines
- Ensure all Occupational Health & Safety individual responsibilities are understood and adhered to.
- Ensure all company policies, procedures and legislative requirements are understood and adhered to
VIPS
- Ensure all Puig members – both department and counter- complete all digital sales recording daily
- Ensure timesheets are submitted through VIPS- signed and accurate
- Ensure all changes to roster are communicated to Account Manager daily
- Ensure all Agency staff sales are recorded accurately in VIPs
- Monitor targets weekly and communicate with Account Manager and HO on performance
- Monitor the focus brand, franchise or specific product sales in VIPs
- Access, communicate and encourage all members to keep up to date with VIPs Library
- Responsible for any training compliance through VIPs is completed for all members
- Alert Account Manager if any IT, access or other issues occur in VIPs daily

Experience:
- Extensive fragrance/beauty and/or retail experience with minimum 4 years’ experience in a retail management position.
Skills & Knowledge:
- Experience within Luxury Retail, Beauty or Fragrance industry preferred.
- Proven track record for achieving sales targets in a retail environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact well with the rest of the team and retail partners (i.e. Head Office Staff, Marketing & Commercial Departments, Brand Ambassadors, and Retail teams)
- Flexibility and availability to work a varied roster in line with store trading hours, including regular extended late-night trade and weekends
- Professional attitude, excellent personal grooming and interpersonal skills
- High attention to detail
