
Concept Space Designer

The Opportunity
Byredo is new looking for a Concept Space Designer to join our team in Stockholm. This is a permanent full-time position starting in April, with an initial six-month probationary period.
In this role, you will develop, design, and visualize temporary brand spaces based on creative briefs, with a particular focus on pop-ups and spatial activations. The work incorporates the development and execution of the temporary installations, and the role requires a blend of creativity, project coordination, and collaboration skills to deliver visually compelling experiences in line with the brand's aesthetics and creative direction.
Beyond temporary installations, the role may also involve designing stores, shop-in-shops, furniture, display tools, and other objects or spatial installations.
You will work closely with the Head of Architecture and collaborate with the Architecture Team, as well as the Visual Merchandising, Marketing, and Graphic Design & Image teams.
What you'll get to do
- Develop concepts for temporary installations and pop-up concepts, ensuring alignment with brand aesthetics and creative direction
- Adapt external agency concepts into executable plans for various locations while maintaining brand consistency
- Create sketches, 3D renderings, and drawings to visually present ideas and concepts derived from creative briefs
- Develop spatial layouts and floor plans, considering foot traffic, visibility, and spatial constraints
- Collaborate with the Visual Merchandising team to develop VM proposals for pop-ups and campaigns
- Oversee the end-to-end execution of pop-ups, spatial activations, and temporary installations, ensuring adherence to timelines and deliverables
- Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to secure resources for successful implementation
- Manage budgets for each project, sourcing cost-effective materials while maintaining quality standards
- Conduct on-site visits to verify the execution of designs aligned with approved concepts and brand standards
- Respond to unforeseen challenges or requirements during installations and events, taking initiative to find creative solutions

- You have a few years’ experience within the field of temporary space designs, interior design and/or architecture
- Your aesthetics fits well with the brand
- You are interested in retail design
- You are good at taking a short brief and working wide from it pushing into new ideas and solutions
- You are flexible and have a good ability to adapt to changes
- You have a good eye when it comes to details
- You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
