The Opportunity

Provide in depth analysis at account level of commercial initiatives maximizing sell in & sell through opportunities such as inventory, new product launches, activations, animation programs to ensure that selling targets and ROI (Return on Investment) requirements are met in all Macy’s doors. Work strategically with Cross-Functional teams (Demand Planning, Retail, Marketing, Sales Operations, Customer Service, Finance, Education, Field Team) to support and maximize the continued growth of Puig Prestige Portfolio in Macy’s account. Brands include, Carolina Herrera, Rabanne, and Jean Paul Gaultier. 

What you'll get to do

  • Support Senior Key Account Director (KAD) with planning responsibilities partnering with KAM’s 
  • Partner with Senior KAD, KAM & Field Teams on creating key door allocation strategies for Macy’s account optimizing Affinity plans 
  • Host bi-monthly meetings to provide Field team updates and gain insights on the business needs/opportunities 
  • Create & maintain sales tracker weekly to seasonal plan 
  • Analyze doors with multiple retail footprints (permanent & semi-permanent Cap Ex Installs) to maximize opportunities   
  • Review Top PID’s & Sets monthly/quarterly by door with acceptable S/O % identifying opportunities 
  • Execute, Review and Communicate monthly rankings by door and identify new opportunities  
  • Execute monthly Stock & Sales File by door 
  • Monitor weekly by brand sell-in and stock requirements for Macy’s against SOQ plan/Shipping projections 
  • Assist in all new launch planning orders with analysis by sub brand partnering with KAD/KAM Team. 
  • Own projections of PID/Door expansions, Phase-outs and forecasts in conjunction with Demand Planning 
  • Assist in providing monthly shipping forecasts 
  • Review & Recommend Stock Adjustments/Swaps  
  • Monitor & Maintain RTV’s against budget 
  • Provide OOS PID’s to Macy’s via Vendor Suspension Form 
  • Assist KAM’s in forecasting, writing and flowing collateral referencing programming file 
  • Add seasonal tracker recap used by cross-functional teams on Visual Week Goals & Daily, Weekly Recaps (review ROI).   
  • Provide highlights, feedback & opportunities to KAD/KAM & Field Teams  
  • Partner with accounts replenishment teams to secure POs and retailers’ projections 
  • Review SOQ’s provided by retailer with internal Demand Planning team before sharing feedback with account. 
  • Review AA reporting (alternatively portal and BW reports) to identify key business drivers and share findings internally  
  • Work with Customer Service and Logistics on PO’s and tracking to anticipate and mitigate barriers on stock, lead time and meeting shipping projections 
  • Attend recurring KAD/KAM meeting with Account Planners and Buying teams 
  • Ensure accurate PID/Location Matrix quarterly is aligned with account planning team 
  • Share newness, launch forecasts with account planners and track progress with adjustments and feedback to internal Demand planning 
  • Partner with account to assist in writing opening orders if necessary taking into account key by door/market strategies and initiatives 
  • Provide strategic input and execute saleable and nonsaleable allocations by door

We'd love to meet you if you have

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred)  
  • 3-5 years’ work experience in sales, planning 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, most notably, Excel and PowerPoint 
  • Strong math and analytical skills 
  • Major department store retailer or vendor experience a plus 
  • Superb verbal and written communication skills, including developing and delivering presentations 
  • Able to influence and gain buy-in by building trustworthy relationships with integrity 
  • Flexibility with Schedule and travel as necessary

Compensation Data

As required by New York State’s salary transparency law, effective November 2022, the expected base salary for this position ranges from $80,000.00 - $85,000.00. Various factors are considered when extending offers, such as relevant skillset, training, years of experience related to the current job description, education, and our organizational structure.
