The Opportunity

The Senior Brand Marketing Director leads the Niche Fragrance & Color Makeup business for North America. This person will run this "hub" with tactful business and market strategy while using their extensive experience in luxury fragrances and color makeup (lip, eye, cheek, nail) in order to make recommendations, decisions, and grow the business overall. This person will create a 360-marketing strategy with fresh ideas in digital/social and drive the implementation of impactful executions. A key part of this role is building and maintaining successful partnerships with our HQ in Spain, and Global Partners throughout Europe, while also being a strong cross-functional team player and people manager for the North America team. Brands include Christian Louboutin Beaute, Penhalegon's, L'Artisan Parfumeur, and Dries Van Noten.

Steer North American Market Strategy and Execution:   

  • In collaboration with the Niche GM; Spearhead strategic direction within North America (Canada and US), delivering high-level insights and recommendations that align with global luxury brand aspirations while resonating with sophisticated regional consumer sensibilities 
  • Guardian of Brand Representation and Consumer Experience:  
  • Uphold each brand’s image as an emblem of elegance, crafting a holistic and premium consumer journey that fosters deep brand loyalty and engagement across all channels 
  • Conduct in-depth brand, market, and competitor analysis to distill actionable insights, guiding strategic decision-making to cement the brand’s position as a leader within the luxury market 
  • Conceive innovative promotional initiatives tailored to the North American luxury segment, enhancing brand allure and fostering differentiation 

360 Brand Engagement:  

  • Execute carefully crafted, multi-dimensional brand campaigns that captivate new consumers, drive sales, and fulfill high-impact objectives for market share, revenue growth, and profitability 
  • Curate complex seasonal launch calendars centered around key product launches 
  • Orchestrate premium media, promotional, and experiential activations in synergy with cross-functional teams to drive impactful market entry 
  • Oversee and inspire agency partners and creative service providers, ensuring every execution reflects the brand’s essence of timeless elegance and surpasses luxury standards 
  • Deliver compelling, strategic presentations of seasonal programs to retail partners, fostering collaborative relationships that enhance brand visibility in premium retail environments  

Excellent Cross-Functional & Global Collaboration:  

  • Collaborate seamlessly with internal teams and global HQ, translating global strategies into regionally relevant experiences that sustain business excellence and elevate brand distinction 
  • Partner with Global teams on product innovation, curated brand content, and media execution, enhancing the brand’s image and reach within the luxury sphere 
  • Work alongside the Sales team to design exclusive, high-touch marketing plans, “retailtainment” activations, and luxury events that underscore the brand’s unique positioning in premier retail spaces 
  • Partner closely with Demand Planning and Operations to synchronize launch timelines, inventory oversight, and flawless product delivery, ensuring consistent luxury service standards and optimal market presence 

Strategic Finance & P&L Oversight:  

  • Collaborate with Finance to uphold disciplined budget planning, ensuring investments are aligned with premium objectives and contribute meaningfully to the brand’s financial success. 
  • Actively manage marketing investments and each brand’s P&L with a luxury mindset, focusing on: 
    • Optimal allocation of annual above-the-line and below-the-line activities 
    • Strategic assessment and enhancement of POS investments, maximizing ROI and future campaign impact 
    • Forecasting and planning for seasonal POS materials, product launches, and exclusive animations 
    • Maintaining inventory precision to support luxury market demand, managing excess and discontinued items thoughtfully to preserve brand equity 

What you'll get to do

Hard Skills:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, or a related field preferred (master's degree a plus) 
  • 7-10 years of progressive experience in beauty marketing, with a minimum of 4 years specializing in color and makeup 
  • Deep expertise in Niche Fragrances, with a strong understanding of the luxury and prestige markets 
  • Proven track record working with licensed brands, with a commitment to protecting and elevating brand image 
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to leverage data insights to inform strategy
