The Opportunity

Manage Business Controlling function and work closely with General Accounting, Accounts Payable & Receivables and Payroll functions.  Ensure timely and accurate internal financial reporting and analysis. Provide leadership and coordination of company financial planning. Ensure company compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (IFRS) and Group policies and principles. 

What you'll get to do

  • Direct and coordinate company financial planning and analysis 
  • Direct annual planning process: administer and review all financial plans and compare to actual results with a view to identify, explain, and correct variances as appropriate. 
  • Prepare and report monthly and annual P&L closings. 
  • Monitor monthly operating results against budget. Analyze trends and suggest corrective actions. 
  • Consistently analyze financial data and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner; clearly communicate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements; monitor progress and changes and keep top management abreast of financial status. 
  • Monitor Inventories, Receivables, Capex and corresponding ROI. Also responsible for validating expense accruals.  
  • Continuously assess the financial impact of various company initiatives and projects 
  • Manage the preparation of other financial outlooks and financial forecasts. 
  • Monitor monthly results of the retail network and e-commerce site, identifying risks and opportunities against the plan and transmitting them to management. 
  • Prepare other daily, weekly, monthly reports as needed.  
  • Recommend benchmarks for measuring the financial and operating performance of divisions and departments. 
  • Assist management with financial reviews for contract negotiations and other investment decisions. 
  • Assist management with the preparation of financial presentations.  
  • Monitor and control corporate accounting policies. 
  • Assist HQ Finance department (G/L, A/P, A/R and Payroll) in daily operations.  
  • Validate data coherence between the different systems used by the company. 
  • Maintain internal control and safeguards for receipt of revenue, costs, and program budgets and actual expenditures.  Assist in implementing and maintaining internal control requirements from HQ across departments 

A reasonable estimate of the current salary is $130,000-$140,000 USD.

We'd love to meet you if you have

  • Minimum 5 - 8 year experience required, primarily in Fashion and Consumer Products  

  • Minimum BA required, CPA strongly preferred. 

  • Strong interpersonal and managerial skills; able to work as a team, as well as handle projects on his/her own 

  • Excellent computer skills and extensive knowledge of accounting and financial software (knowledge of SAP, GCS, and Y2 a plus) 

  • Strong leadership, organizational and analytical skills
