The Opportunity

The Director of Wholesale Planning drives the sell-in planning strategy across Puig North America, bringing alignment across corporate financial targets, supply forecasts and retailer financial plans. The role is responsible for developing and implementing a centralized, streamlined planning process across the portfolio of brands, covering both saleable and non-saleable goods, with a single roll-up from retailer and brand to the total US business. This role reports into the Senior Director, Commercial Strategy & Planning. The ideal candidate brings strong commercial acumen, operational excellence and a passion for delivering strategic insights in a fast-paced, multi-brand environment.

What you'll get to do

  • Develop and implement an integrated commercial planning process across the portfolio: One calendar, one standard and one set of definitions, consolidating stock and sales forecasts by brand, retailer and channel into a total-US view, and incorporating feedback from commercial sales teams and planners to highlight company-wide risks and opportunities
  • Bring saleable and non-saleable planning together: plan non-saleable (testers, samples, GWPs, collateral and event materials) in relation to the saleable plan and the financial plan, allocated by brand and retailer and measured with KPIs rather than ad hoc
  • Lead the yearly sell-in budgeting process, partnering cross-functionally to ensure plans are grounded in commercial reality, aligned to corporate targets and clearly communicated across the organization
  • Lead weekly and monthly reviews of brand and retailer estimates, analyzing historical data, sell-in vs. sell-through trends and retail run rates to improve planning accuracy and maximize sales
  • Track and provide visibility of real-time progress against monthly estimates across the portfolio; proactively identify projected shortfalls versus internal financial targets and work with sales teams on gap-closing initiatives
  • Monitor retailer inventory health across the brands, including stock coverage, weeks of supply, receipts vs. plan and sell-through, sharing data-driven analysis with commercial teams to ensure demand is captured and to avoid excess stock, returns exposure or out-of-stocks
  • Act as the planning liaison to Demand and Supply Planning: feed consolidated sell-in and retailer insights into the S&OP forecast; decide launch quantities, allocation and basics in liaison with Demand Planning and Sales so commercial plans, inventory allocation and expected sell-through stay aligned; set priorities when supply is constrained
  • Define the planning KPIs (forecast accuracy, allocation vs. plan, stock coverage, non-saleable spend vs. budget) with the Data & Analytics team, working from governed dashboards rather than manual reports
  • Manage, mentor and grow a team of planners across the organization, raising the standard from account-level analysis to portfolio decisions and fostering a culture of strategic thinking, creativity and collaboration

We'd love to meet you if you have

  • Bachelor's degree; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in commercial planning, sales planning or demand planning within prestige beauty, fashion or a comparable consumer goods environment
  • Demonstrated experience managing planning processes across a multi-brand portfolio with multiple retail accounts, including rolling plans up to a total business
  • Strong analytical and financial modelling skills; able to synthesize complex data into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership; comfortable with estimates, gross-to-net and variance analysis alongside Finance
  • Working knowledge of retailer inventory metrics (stock coverage, weeks of supply, sell-through) and of partnering with demand and supply planning
  • Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing teams, including leading through influence across teams not directly managed
  • Experience partnering cross-functionally with supply chain, finance and commercial teams
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to drive alignment across diverse stakeholders
  • Proficiency in planning tools and systems; Power BI, SAP and retail analytics platforms a plus

We welcome Creators Of All Kinds. If you are unsure of meeting all the requirements but trust you have the transferable skills to excel in this role, complete the application and our teams will get in touch if you are selected for an interview.
