Demand Planning Manager, Dr. Barbara Sturm

The Opportunity

Own and continuously improve the Demand Planning process for the Dr. Barbara Sturm brand in the US Market. Build an accurate sales forecast by gathering market intelligence and working closely with Local and Global teams to ensure product availability, high service levels, and optimized global inventory. Monitor alignment between forecast and budget, analyze discrepancies, and support and drive the Sales & Operational Planning (S&OP) process.

What you'll get to do

  • Continuously improve planning processes for the Dr. Barbara Sturm brand by leveraging experience, building new capabilities, adapting to change, and benchmarking best practices across brands and markets
  • Develop and lead the S&OP process for Dr. Barbara Sturm US
  • Understand market dynamics including seasonality, competitive activity, trends, and sales objectives in the US market to make value-added forecast adjustments
  • Own current inventory levels and future projections aligned with sell-out plans and consumer trends
  • Ensure demand plan accuracy and forecast consumption to achieve financial targets
  • Partner with Supply Planning to adjust plans based on opportunities and constraints
  • Provide visibility on short- and long-term sales forecasts to the Global Demand Planning team
  • Monitor and manage KPIs: Forecast Accuracy, Inventory Costs, and Service Level
  • Lead and evolve US Demand Planning initiatives in line with market and business needs, particularly within the fast-moving skincare category
  • Serve as a strong cross-functional partner to Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, Logistics, and Finance, acting as the point person for key demand insights
  • Evaluate shipment patterns, seasonal sales, and inventory trends to inform accurate forecasting plans and recommendations to leadership
  • Communicate significant forecast changes and scenario projections aligned with operating strategy; review supply updates and manage resulting forecast revisions

We'd love to meet you if you have

•    Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Economics, or related field 
•    5+ years of experience in Supply Chain Management, Demand Planning, or Inventory Management
•    Experience forecasting in the US market required
•    Experience using a planning tool such as IBP (or equivalent) required
•    Beauty industry experience preferred; skincare demand or supply planning experience a plus
•    Advanced Excel skills and strong proficiency in Microsoft Office to support reporting, analysis, and planning
•    Proficiency in SAP (or similar ERP systems) to support forecasting and operational execution
•    Demonstrated analytical capability and operational effectiveness
•    High EQ and strong interpersonal skills
•    Able to work effectively with manager and cross-functional teams, as well as independently
•    Demonstrated self-drive and commitment to continuous learning

Compensation Data

As required by New York State’s salary transparency law, effective November 2022, the expected base salary for this position ranges from $110,000.00 - $115,000.00. Various factors are considered when extending offers, such as relevant skillset, training, years of experience related to the current job description, education, and our organizational structure.
