The Opportunity

DEMAND PLANNING MANAGER 

Location: Milan

 

 

Key Tasks

  • Lead the Sales and Operational Planning (S&OP) process.
    • Conduct monthly Demand Consensus meetings with Key Account Managers, Brand Managers and Customer Development to review the promotional plan and gather market intelligence data to forecast at SKU level.
    • Prepare and present S&OP results in the monthly meeting sponsored by the General Manager.
  • Ownership of the rolling 18 month Net Revenue forecast at SKU level.
    • Review classification of SKUs based on the importance in the local market.
    • Review retailer sell in, sell out, market sell out data and analyse retailer stock levels.
  • Build and maintain relationships with retailer Supply Chain teams.
    • Work with key retailers to build a joint forecast at peak trading periods.
    • Review service levels and forecast accuracy based on joint plans.
  • Work closely with Local and Global teams.
    • Monitor retailer sell through, promotional mix and key priorities with Customer Development.     
    • Provide Global Demand planners with local market information effecting product line forecasts, liaise with Global Supply Planning team and work with other Local Demand Planners to build best practices. 
  • Launches and promotional planning.
    • Plan quantities for new launches based on analysis of launch patterns and cycles.
    • Review of success of launches and promotional actions with sales and marketing teams and manage leftover promotional stock.
