The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Finance Analyst to join our team specializing in the travel retail channel. As a Finance Analyst, you will play a critical role in analyzing financial data, identifying trends, and providing insights to drive strategic decision making within our travel retail division. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, exceptional analytical skills, and a passion for the travel industry.

What you'll get to do

  1. Financial Analysis: Conduct comprehensive financial analysis to evaluate the performance of our travel retail operations. This includes analyzing sales trends, profit margins, and expense management to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
  2. Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development of annual budgets and forecasts for the travel retail division. Monitor actual performance against budgeted targets and provide variance analysis to key stakeholders.
  3. Cost Analysis: Analyze cost structures across various P&L lines, including product costs, distribution expenses, and advertising and promotional (A&P) investments. Identify opportunities to optimize costs and improve profitability.
  4. Financial Reporting: Prepare regular financial reports and presentations for management, providing insights into the financial performance of the travel retail Americas division. Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.
  5. Ad Hoc Analysis: Conduct ad hoc financial analysis and modeling to support decision-making on special projects, initiatives, and strategic initiatives within the travel retail Americas sector.
  6. Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies within the travel retail division. Identify and mitigate financial risks through thorough analysis and proactive measures.

We'd love to meet you if you have

  1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) is a plus.
  2. Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in financial analysis or related roles, preferably within the retail or travel industry.
  3. Proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and Microsoft Excel. Experience with financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is advantageous.
  4. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and draw meaningful conclusions.
  5. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  6. Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities effectively.
  7. Passion for the travel industry and a keen interest in understanding market dynamics and trends affecting travel retail.
