The Opportunity

 

We have an opportunity for a Head of Demand & Supply Planning to take ownership of the Demand Planning & Supply process. This role will build an accurate Net Revenue forecast by gathering market intelligence data, working closely with Local and Global teams in order to allow product availability, high service levels and contributing to optimised global inventory levels. You will also lead the local Sales & Operational Planning in the local market.

This role is vital to ensuring the success of our Retail and Ecom channels across multiple brands and will co-ordinate across several teams including Demand Planning, Global Supply Planning, Logistics and Commercial teams.

 

What you'll get to do

 

o    Conduct monthly Demand Consensus meetings with Key Account Managers, Brand Managers and Customer Development in order to review the promotional plan and gather market intelligence data to forecast at SKU level. 
o    Prepare and present S&OP results in the monthly meeting.
o    Review KPI’s including forecast accuracy results.
o    Reconcile the forecast valuation with the budget and explain the differences.
o    Review classification of SKUs based on the importance in the local market. 
o    Review the parameters of the model to build the base forecast. 
o    Identify and clean impacts of anomalies and unpredicted events. 
o    Analyse market trends, brand trends and product line trends.
o    Review sell in and sell out data by retailer and market sell out data and analyse retailer stock levels.
o    Work together in a collaborative way to maximise efficiencies in the supply chain. 
o    Work with key retailers to build a joint forecast at peak trading periods. 
o    Review service levels and forecast accuracy based on joint plans. 
o    Build and maintain relationships with Local teams and relevant Global departments to allow clear flow of information. 
o    Gain a strong understanding of retailer strategies by working closely with KAMs. 
o    Follow the evolution of brands and plans in the short and long term with Marketing.
o    Monitor retailer sell through, promotional mix and key priorities with Customer Development. 
o    Work with Finance to build the phased Net Revenue Budget by product line and to align understanding.  
o    Support Customer Service team with stock availability and Supply Planning logistics.    
o    Provide Global Demand planners with local market information effecting product line forecasts, explaining changes in the forecast. 
o    Liaise with Global Supply Planning team regarding specific actions and how to meet local requirements and work with other Local Demand Planners to build best practices.  
o    Plan quantities for new launches based on analysis of launch patterns and cycles. 
o    React to changes in sell in based on level of success and amend forecast accordingly. 
o    Review of success of launches and promotional actions with sales and marketing teams.
o    Track leftover promotional stock and work with the sales and marketing teams to exit.   
o    Lead on ensuring maximum availability and optimal stock coverage for the local warehouse situated in the U.K. 
o    Proactively mitigating OOS and stock lows, ensuring inbound shipments are sufficient to meet demand. 
 

 

We'd love to meet you if you have

•    Experience in supply planning, demand planning and financial management. 
•    Strong knowledge of planning, operations, logistics and finance across tri-category preferably in either luxury goods or fast consumer goods (FMCG) industries.
•    Post grad qualification MBA/ACA is desirable. 
•    Proven experience of team management.
•    Ability to build integrity and trust with internal and external stakeholders and suppliers. 
•    Strategic vision on the Business and capabilities to challenge and recommend, identifying solutions.
•    Strong management & communication skills, team player driven.
•    Strong Analytical skills and accuracy.
