The Opportunity
As Portugal Marketing, you will report to the Iberia Marketing Director and collaborate with brand teams in Spain. You will lead the local marketing plan, adapting global and regional strategies to the Portuguese market, and provide insights on consumers, competitors, and trends to drive business growth.
This position requires strategic vision, execution capability, and cross-functional leadership in a matrix environment, coordinating commercial, financial, retail activation teams, and external agencies.
What you'll get to do
Strategy & Market Advisory
- Lead the country’s marketing plan and ensure alignment with the Iberia regional strategy.
- Provide market, consumer, and competition insights to ensure local relevance.
- Maintain the balance between brand consistency and the needs of the Portuguese market.
Brand Building, Communication & Activation
- Lead brand building initiatives tailored to Portuguese consumers.
- Adapt content, messaging, and assets to guarantee brand coherence.
- Validate and oversee the local Media Plan and agency briefings.
- Supervise PR and influencer campaigns, from strategy through to post-mortem analysis.
- Coordinate creator content for local e-tailers together with internal teams.
- Participate in the design and execution of the BTL plan with KAMs and retail activation teams.
Performance & Financial Management
- Lead processes for defining and reviewing the country’s budget.
- Ensure P&L coherence (ATL + BTL) with strategic priorities.
- Monitor monthly Sell In and Sell Out; identify opportunities and risks.
- Manage A&P by brand, adjusting forecasts and proposing corrective actions.
Governance & Reporting
- Prepare and lead the country’s Business Reviews (presentation to Iberia ComDir).
- Take part in Marketing Plan meetings, representing the local perspective.
- Produce bi-monthly reports on campaigns and launches, highlighting key learnings.
Launches, Materials & Guidelines
- Adapt launches, promotions, and materials (CPS) to the local context.
- Adjust permanent and temporary guidelines to the realities of the Portuguese market.
- Lead the adaptation of commercial materials to the local plan.
- Ensure alignment with Demand Planning to guarantee viability, proper execution, and availability in the Portuguese market.
Activations & Relationship with Retailers
- Propose high-impact local activations (street marketing, experiences).
- Participate in one-to-ones with key retailers as the main marketing contact.
- Provide local insight for catalogue and pricing reviews in the market.
We'd love to meet you if you have
- 5+ years’ experience in marketing, trade marketing, or brand management, ideally in FMCG, Beauty, Retail, or multi-category sectors.
- Experience in matrix structures and/or international brands.
- Strong analytical skills, business acumen, and mastery of indicators (P&L, Sell In, Sell Out, A&P).
- Experience managing ATL, BTL, PR, influencers, and omnichannel activations.
- Advanced command of Spanish and English, valuable knowledge of Portuguese.
