Finance Controller - UAE

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Middle East Finance Director, as Finance Controller, you will play an important role in supporting the financial performance of our Middle East business. Working closely with the regional Finance team, HQ, and cross-functional stakeholders, you will help drive strong controlling processes, provide meaningful financial analysis, and contribute to better business decision-making.

While the role is primarily dedicated to the UAE business, it will also include a broader support scope across the region, contributing to selected finance activities, deliverables, and initiatives for other Middle East businesses as needed.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to grow within a dynamic regional environment and gain broad exposure across different areas of Finance. In this role, you will build hands-on experience across Controlling, Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Commercial Finance, and Retail Finance, while developing a strong understanding of how Finance partners with the business to drive performance and strategic decisions.

You will play a key role in financial planning and analysis, supporting the preparation, review, and follow-up of budgets, forecasts, monthly reporting, and key performance indicators. It is a role that combines technical finance exposure with real business partnering, offering both learning and impact.

In addition, you will have the opportunity to lead and support the development of one Finance Graduate, providing guidance, structure, and day-to-day coaching.

What you'll get to do

Financial Planning & Analysis: 

• Support the budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring timely preparation, accuracy, and follow-up.
• Analyze monthly P&L performance versus Budget and Forecast, highlighting key variances and recommending corrective actions.
• Identify risks and opportunities across the business and support actions to improve performance.
• Go beyond the numbers by understanding the business drivers behind the results and helping with informing decision-making. Constant collaboration with HQ to ensure finance processes.
• Partner closely with HQ to ensure alignment on finance processes, reporting requirements, and deadlines.

Controlling & Accounting:

• Support the monthly financial closing process to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
• Work closely with the accounting team to ensure proper management of the P&L and consistency in financial data.
• Help maintain a strong level of control and reliability across financial reporting.

Retail & Commercial Finance: 

• Build a solid understanding of the business through regular interaction with cross-functional teams.
• Support with retail performance analysis by door, channel, and brand.
• Assist commercial teams with gross profit analysis, promotional evaluations, and ROCE calculations.
• Conduct ad hoc financial analysis to support decision-making across the Middle East region.
