The Opportunity

The Regional Field Sales Director is a strategic leader aiming to exceed and grow the Prestige brands. This individual is a strong collaborator and relationship builder, working closely with cross functional internal teams, store management, and retail employees. This individual must bring high-energy, passion, and be the face of the brands motivating all to sell and buy Prestige brands color and fragrance products.  The primary goal of the Regional Field Sales Director is to manage a team that supports locations in key territories, building relationships, educating, and training store teams and driving retail sales. The Regional Field Sales Director will independently develop account plans and strategies and grow assigned accounts through consultative selling and strategic planning.

What you'll get to do

Sales Execution:
• Execute business plans to surpass financial objectives, ensuring successful key artistry and promotional events.
• Achieve targeted sales growth within budget constraints through field selling and training with retailers and Beauty Advisors.
• Assist the team in achieving profitable growth and annual sales targets.
• Act as a key liaison between corporate and assigned retailers, working closely with the SVP Sales and VP National Field Sales.
• Collaborate with Key Account Director and VP National Field Sales to enhance and analyze promotional strategies.
• Recruit regional field teams and identify opportunities for field-related roles within the organization.
• Review retail sales, stock, animation, and marketing on a weekly basis, making necessary adjustments and addressing issues and opportunities.
• Build effective call cycles, communicate sales goals, and arrange regular team meetings.

 

Strategic Business Initiatives:
• Implement, evaluate, and develop national and market-specific branded retailer training and event programs.
• Train store and field teams on product knowledge to build brand champions and customer base.
• Manage and coordinate branded store-generated and corporately approved events.
• Monitor new market trends, drive a customer-centric omnichannel approach, and communicate customer needs with retailers.
• Seek incremental business opportunities collaboratively with Puig Team members.
• Ensure merchandising standards are maintained, provide proactive ideas for sales efforts and brand recognition expansion.
• Communicate relevant updates to placement, product assortment, inventory levels, and market opportunities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide feedback on Gondola updates, store placement, and promotional activity.

 

In-Store Retail Experience:
• Represent in-store retail teams nationally, serving as a conduit between retailers and Puig.
• Educate and train in-store retail teams on the Puig product line, assess Beauty Advisors' performance, and forge strong relationships with store management.
• Create and conduct training, plan events, and collaborate with retailers on innovative in-store events.
• Lead the team in executing promotional and merchandising calendars, creating local plans and specific events.
• Collaborate with education to build a long-term field education strategy, supporting sales with a team of freelance make-up artists.
• Execute competitive training and event strategies, engaging store teams to support brand KPIs.

 

Analysis:
• Analyze sales tools, including weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports to assess opportunities, trends, call cycles, and productivity.
• Maximize national territory productivity by analyzing market-specific needs and creating appropriate action plans.
• Monitor orders, analyze sales performance, track sell-out against business objectives, and define growth levers.
• Track sales and forecasting, proactively addressing gaps and opportunities.
• Analyze daily, weekly, and monthly retail sales reports, conducting weekly team meetings and providing regular business recaps.
• Review freelancer productivity, store rankings, and key SKU performance for comprehensive understanding of the competitor landscape.

We'd love to meet you if you have

  • 5+ years' experience leading sales teams in fragrance/beauty industry.
  • Proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong product presentation and relationship-building skills with beauty buyers.
  • In-depth knowledge of competitive products and market trends.
  • Effective multitasker, meeting deadlines while handling multiple projects.
  • Develops and motivates direct reports, demonstrating high EQ and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinker, collaborates well with teams, and presents at executive levels.
  • Willingness to travel 30-50% and physically set up events autonomously as needed.
  • Valid drivers license and ability to drive long distance (up to 6 hours).
