The past years, the market of niche fragrances is developing, and Puig is expanding its presence in the niche fragrance market, representing prestigious brands such as Penhaligon’s, L’Artisan Parfumeur, Dries Van Noten, Byredo, and Dr. Barbara Sturm.
As Key Account Manager Niche Brands, you will be responsible for sustainably growing our niche fragrance business across the Benelux region. Your focus will be on managing our two largest accounts in the Netherlands — Skins and De Bijenkorf — while also overseeing the distribution through a network of independent niche retailers.
You will play a key role in developing and maintaining strong, collaborative relationships with these partners, ensuring brand visibility, commercial performance, and long-term growth.
Reporting directly to the Commercial Director, you will be part of the Commercial Team and work closely with cross-functional stakeholders.
Key responsibilities :
Market & Customer Expertise
Develop a deep understanding of the niche fragrance market and your customer portfolio. Ensure the distribution, market share, and net revenue of our brands are aligned with company objectives and financial KPIs.
Strategic Planning & Execution
Implement tailored strategies for your accounts, in line with company priorities:
- Visit all the top doors of both key accounts and independents on a regular basis; you are the ears and eyes in the market
- Lead and prepare COOP negotiations in collaboration with the Brand Manager Niche and Ecommerce Key Account Manager
- Work closely with the Brand Manager to activate the brand strategy on door level
- Drive annual commercial condition meetings and ensure consistent follow-up throughout the year
Account Management & Operational Follow-up
Ensure smooth day-to-day management of your accounts:
- Regular field visits of both key accounts and independent doors to maintain a solid relationship with the customer and have a clear overview of the competition and developments in the market
- Act as a key connector between retailers and internal teams (subsidiary and HQ), facilitating efficient cross-functional collaboration
- Organize and lead regular business update meetings
- Follow up on monthly budget closure (reporting, analysis, action plan to be put in place)
- Oversee sell-in processes for launches and sets, from negotiation to shelf execution, including GWP/sample support.
- Manage best in class assortment in collaboration with Marketing, driving best -sellers on shelf
- Lead collaborative planning with key retailers; right stock levels in the right places
Your profile
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field
- Minimum 4 years of experience in Key Account or Category Management, e-commerce experience is a plus
- Experience in cosmetics or FMCG, preferred at an A-Brand Player
- Fluent in Dutch and English, French is a plus
