The Opportunity

Will develop new product packaging based on unique requirements and maintain quality of existing packages for all product of the group in coordination with national and international teams. This position is responsible for designing, homologating, and releasing product tertiary packaging materials. Additionally, you will determine packaging requirements according to the nature of the product, cost limitations, sustainability, legality and the type of product protection required, taking into consideration the external variables, the particularities of each of the group's factories and the needs of the brands.

What you'll get to do

  • Coordinate all internal and external tertiary packaging resources and ensure packaging projects are appropriately resourced to meet project deadlines
  • Design, development, homologation, implementation, and maintenance of tertiary packaging for regular products and promotional references 
  • Updating drawings and introducing necessary data in SAP ECTR to fill specifications of developed packaging ensuring all necessary data is available in the system before lunch date
  • Coordinate the qualification activities for packaging systems: transportation test studies, dimensional analyses, technical reports, component specifications and BOMs
  • Provide oversight of packaging activities at factories and external manufacturers
  • Tech transfer of packaging between factories and external manufacturers
  • Work closely with key internal customers including Project Management teams, Supply Chain, Manufacturing Operations, Quality Assurance, and Commercial Development as well as external vendors and contractors to successfully execute packaging operations at Puig
  • Develop tools alongside the Master Data team for the efficient management of large quantities of references

We'd love to meet you if you have

  • Previous experience and technical competency in tertiary packaging design and qualification of at least two years (e.g. product/environment compatibility, distribution and environmental testing, manufacturing qualification) 
  • Bachelor of Science in Packaging or Engineering
  • Spanish and English. French is a plus
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
