
Packaging & Product Testing Specialist

The Opportunity
Participate in the product development by assessing and conducting the different homologation and compatibility tests on the packaging components and the finished product.
Working in the Testing team, means working closely with numerous internal and external interfaces, such as Packaging Development, Formula Development, Quality and factories.
What you'll get to do
- Proactive design of the Testing plan of the projects to anticipate risks, on packaging components and finished product. Follow-up and assure the execution.
- Proactive collaboration and coordination with the Packaging Engineering teams as well as the Formula Development teams for the category assigned – Fragrance, Skincare or Make Up.
- Conduct compatibility and functionality tests considering the specificities related to the project: specific development timelines, packaging design, number of pieces available, etc.
- Work in “problem solving” mode: Assist in decision-making in case of non-compliance, evaluate risks by conducting additional tests.
- Create the documentation necessary for each test (protocol, reports…) with detailed analysis.
- Manage and update homologation status of components on SAP.
- Manage the maintenance and calibration of the department's equipment.
- Collaborate in the organization of the department and the tasks.
- Develop new tests methods based on the new project’s needs.

Experience: No experience is required. 1 year of previous experience in a similar role is valuable.
Education: Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in Chemistry Engineering, Packaging Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Materials Science, Perfumery/Cosmetics or similar
Languages: Fluent in Spanish and English. French would be a plus.
Competencies:
- Analysis and methodical working are a must, as well as organization and flexibility to be able to work in an environment constantly evolving.
- Agile in Windows environment (MS Office, SAP…)
- Team player and ability to create trusting relationships.
- Communication skills (oral, written, presentations)
Specific Knowledge required:
- Technical knowledge of plastic and glass materials, treatments, decoration is valuable.
- Technical knowledge of chemical compatibility of the materials is valuable.
- Ability to manage projects to support Packaging development proactively
