The Opportunity

As an Optimization Purchasing Buyer, you will secure materials for new product developments and improvement projects under optimal cost and conditions. You will support the Purchasing team in driving optimization and continuous improvement initiatives with a Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) approach. Additionally, you will manage and coordinate repack operations to ensure efficiency, cost optimization, and compliance with internal standards.

What you'll get to do

  • Support the Purchasing team in optimization and continuous improvement projects, collaborating with technical teams to identify suppliers capable of providing materials at the best cost, quality, and delivery performance.
  • Participate in supplier negotiations, preparing purchasing proposals aligned with budget objectives (target cost, tooling, and investment) and contributing to cost savings.
  • Assist in developing and following detailed project plans (retro-planning) with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and complete delivery of materials.
  • Monitor and ensure plan execution, tracking order deliveries, supplier performance, and component stock levels.
  • Manage non-conformities by identifying root causes with suppliers and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
  • Support the handover of provisioning responsibilities to manufacturing, ensuring compliance with internal procedures and requirements.
  • Conduct supplier price comparisons, cost breakdowns, and negotiation analyses.
  • Maintain accurate Purchasing data in SAP (info records, source lists, planning data, logistics data, green dot, customs codes, etc.).
  • Support the planning, execution, and follow-up of repack activities, coordinating with suppliers and logistics teams.
  • Collaborate closely with internal departments to ensure smooth execution of all purchasing and repack-related processes.

We'd love to meet you if you have

  • Experience: Minimum 1 year in a similar position.
  • Education: Degree in Economics, Business, or Engineering.
  • Languages: Fluent in English and Spanish (French is a strong plus).
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficient in SAP (MM module)
    • Advanced MS Excel skills
    • Good command of PowerPoint
  • Core Competencies:
    • Strong negotiation and communication skills
    • Continuous improvement mindset, always seeking process optimization and efficiency
