The Opportunity

The Market Intelligence Director will be responsible for overseeing and analyzing market trends and data within the three primary Beauty categories: Fragrances, Makeup, and Skincare. The role involves integrating global internal sell-out data, analyzing market share evolution, conducting competitive analysis, and estimating market growth using multiple sources. Additionally, the director will manage the Beauty & Fashion division team and coordinate with Market Intelligence teams from the Charlotte Tilbury and Derma Divisions.

Key Responsibilities

- Monitor market evolution across Beauty categories: Fragrances, Makeup, and Skincare.

- Integrate global internal sell-out data.

- Analyze market share evolution.

- Conduct competitive analysis.

- Estimate market growth using multiple sources.

- Manage the Beauty & Fashion division team and coordinate with Market Intelligence teams from Charlotte Tilbury and Derma.

- Interact with brands and markets to understand sell-out drivers.

- Create monthly reports analyzing sell-out evolution and share drivers.

- Track new product launches, both internal and competitive.

- Monitor the evolution of major public competitor companies and produce quarterly reports with key findings.

- Support Strategic Planning areas in tracking execution of the plan.

- Provide the organization (brands and markets) with key Beauty market trends.

- Own sell-out and industry dashboards, ensuring their correct and timely maintenance.

- Take responsibility for global negotiations with data providers such as CIRCANA, EUROMONITOR, and Beaute & Research. This involves ensuring that accurate and relevant data is obtained for strategic decision-  making.

- Maintain strong relationships with these providers to ensure a consistent flow of benchmark information and data that support the business.

- Run ad-hoc market studies to respond to critical business questions, especially when entering new markets, segments, categories and channels.

Team Development
- Ensure that the team develops the necessary technical and analytical skills to fulfil the mission of the area. This includes continuous training in data analysis tools and market research techniques.

- Foster a learning and collaborative environment where team members can share knowledge and experiences to improve their collective skills.
