The Opportunity
Following the company Purchasing Strategies and Global Policy for Suppliers, as a Make-up Buyer, you will be part of the New Launches Team, responsible of providing all necessary components and formula for the development of new products at the best cost and in the best conditions.
What you'll get to do
- As a Make-up Buyer, you will receive information about new projects to be developed through different departments and established processes. With this information, your main tasks will be:
- Work hand on hand with the technical teams to find solutions and suppliers capable of producing the necessary materials & formulas, at the best cost, meeting our quality requirements and being delivered on time
- Negotiate with suppliers and make purchasing proposals while respecting the budget (target cost, tools, and investments) and or/generating saving
- Present a summary of supplier offers to management, give an overall overview of the project and making recommendations
- Develop and follow detailed planning with suppliers and internal departments to meet projects requirements
- Review Material Requirement Planning (MRP) and create the material orders according to negotiated prices and approved specifications
- In case of an event of defective or unacceptable goods, determine the cause of the problem with supplier and internal teams, and take corrective and preventive measures
- Properly transfer each project to our internal procurement team following internal procedures and requirements
- Be able to identify possible cost optimization for existing projects
- Your main responsibilities will be:
- Perform price comparisons and negotiations
- Ensure project management and planning monitoring with the aim of achieving timings
- Have in-depth knowledge of the market, materials and suppliers and report the results to the company
We'd love to meet you if you have
- Bachelor's Degree in Economics/Business or similar
- Minimum 2 years previous experience in packaging/raw material/make-up world is a plus
- Fluent Spanish, English and French.
- SAP Procurement MM – Office Pack – Negotiation Skills – Taste for technical questions
- Organized, able to embrace changes, driven by results, good communication skills, proactive, curious/go to detail, able to make proposals and comfortable with numbers and analysis
- Availability to travel if necessary
