The Opportunity

Provide legal support to business partners under the guidance of Legal Directors and/or Senior Legal Counsels, ensuring the protection and enforcement of key rights, facilitating business transactions, offering ongoing preventive legal advice, and safeguarding Puig’s interests to mitigate potential legal risks.
Foster a strong, collaborative relationship with business partners, dedicating time to understand their challenges, educating them on legal implications, and maintaining a continuous exchange of information.
Coordinate external advisors when necessary, implement policies and procedures set forth by Corporate Legal Services, and actively contribute to the development and refinement of these policies.
 

What you'll get to do

 

•    Review commercial agreements (e.g. distribution, retail, services, logistics and procurement), supporting all stages from negotiation to execution. This includes drafting, supporting negotiations, liaising with business teams, and maintaining an updated contractual database. 
•    Review lease agreements for stores, as well as for offices, supporting all stages from negotiation to execution. This involves drafting, assisting in negotiations, liaising with business teams and managing updates to the contractual database. 
•    Assist in resolving conflicts with distributors and manage the termination of distributorship relationships, as well as the appointment of new distributors. This includes assessing and supporting in related litigation processes. 
•    Develop templates to facilitate day-to-day low value transactions without the need of a lot of involvement.
•    Draft, review and coordinate the execution, registration and implementation of all necessary corporate resolutions of Puig subsidiaries.

Requirements:
•    Experience: 5 to 7 years of combined experience in a reputable law firm, as well as in-house in a reputable multi-national company, working in the above-mentioned type of matters. 
•    Education: Degree in Law.
•    Languages: English at working level is a must (including the ability to communicate fluently both in writing and orally). 
•    Competencies: Team-player, proactive, fast-learner, hard-working, rigorous, flexible, pragmatic, and good communication skills (can-do attitude)
•    Availability for international travel is required.

Specific Knowledge and Capabilities required: 
•    Industry Expertise: Proven experience in the consumer/retailing industry, particularly in luxury goods, is highly valued. 
•    International Proficiency: Exposure to legal matters in the APAC region and demonstrated capability in navigating the complexities of working with subsidiaries of different countries is highly regarded. 
•    Legal Acumen: Experience in the review of commercial, services and lease agreements. Familiarity with general corporate matters.
•    Adaptability: Ability and eagerness to work in a challenging and dynamic environment, showcasing resilience and adaptability in addressing evolving situations.
