The Opportunity
As a Key Account Manager for the Iberian market, you will be the focal point for managing and strengthening relationships with our key clients in Spain and Portugal. Your main role will be to understand customer needs, ensure client satisfaction, and drive business growth. This position involves strategic planning, effective communication, and close collaboration with cross-functional teams to meet and exceed client expectation.
What you'll get to do
CATEGORY GROWTH VISION & STORY SELLING
- Assess the category within the client/channel and identify growth opportunities.
- Define the strategy for the client/channel by aligning the objectives of each brand as indicated by Marketing & Trade.
- Develop and sell the Action Plan to clients (both external and internal).
- Provide ongoing input regarding client/channel needs for the Marketing and Trade Plans.
- Define the framework of Commercial Terms and investment across Retail, Digital, and Trade with clients.
- Conduct competitor analysis (Brick & Mortar and Digital).
REVENUE GROWTH MANAGEMENT
- Drive profitable growth for both Puig and the client.
- Define (and negotiate internally and externally) the necessary investment in the P&L for your clients and brands.
- Negotiate Commercial Terms aligned with the objectives of the Key Account Plan.
- Maintain updated sales forecasts and collaborate on forecasting with Sales Intelligence and S&OP.
- Monitor the monthly P&L, including commercial conditions and A&P items, working with support departments to avoid deviations from the budget.
- Manage Credit Risk.
OMNICHANNEL ACTIVATION MANAGEMENT
- Identify omnichannel activation opportunities.
- Negotiate the Retail and Trade Plan (B&M and Online) with the client, in collaboration with transversal teams.
- Negotiate brand concessions, portfolio, and launches, ensuring proper implementation at the point of sale.
- Lead training plans with clients.
- Validate compliance with the agreed plan through store checks and follow-up with the Field Sales team.
CUSTOMER MANAGEMENT – JOINT BUSINESS PLANNING
- Develop a sustainable and profitable long-term relationship.
- Build strong relationships at all levels within the client’s organization; identify, propose, and implement solutions for specific needs.
- Analyze, adjust, communicate, implement, and jointly monitor category and client development plans.
- Ensure excellence in client service by overseeing order follow-up, client invoicing, and charge management, in collaboration with the Customer Care teams.
We'd love to meet you if you have
- 3–5+ years of experience as a Key Account Manager or in a similar role, ideally within the cosmetics sector and with experience working with retailers.
- A proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing key accounts.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- The ability to analyze data and turn it into actionable insights.
- Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- A degree in Business Administration, Sales, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP.
- Languages: Fluent in English and Spanish.
