The Opportunity

Puig is looking for a Global Retail Health & Safety Manager to define, deploy and continuously improve the Health & Safety strategy across the Group's worldwide retail network, with particular focus on directly operated stores and guidance for concessions, joint ventures and partner-operated retail environments.

Based in Barcelona and reporting directly to the OHSE & Integrated Management Systems Director, you will provide global leadership, governance and technical expertise, working closely with Retail Operations, Local Markets, Human Resources and other key stakeholders.

What you'll get to do

  • Review and deliver the global Retail Health & Safety strategy, roadmap, governance model and annual objectives in alignment with the Group OHSE and business priorities
  • Develop, maintain and deploy global retail Health & Safety processes, standards, procedures, toolkits and minimum requirements, ensuring they are practical, scalable and adaptable to local legislation
  • Establish and maintain a global risk profile and risk register for retail locations, using a risk-based approach to prioritise resources, controls and improvement plans
  • Partner with Global Retail and Facilities teams to integrate Health & Safety requirements into new store design, fit-outs, refurbishments, pre-opening reviews, property due diligence and management of change
  • Carry out Health & Safety risk assessments in flagship stores and other key or higher-risk retail locations, documenting findings, defining proportionate controls and supporting their implementation
  • Plan and perform Health & Safety inspections and audits in stores, concessions and other retail environments, both independently and together with local teams
  • Prepare clear inspection and audit reports, agree corrective actions with local owners, monitor deadlines and verify that actions have been effectively closed
  • Deliver Health & Safety training, workshops and awareness sessions for store managers, retail employees and relevant contractors, in person and virtually
  • Review, update and quality-check Retail Health & Safety training content, guidance materials, induction resources and operational communications before deployment
  • Provide day-to-day technical advice and practical support to Retail Operations and country teams, helping resolve Health & Safety issues arising in stores
  • Support and, when required, lead investigations of incidents and near misses, identify root causes, agree corrective and preventive actions and share lessons learned across markets
  • Monitor Retail Health & Safety performance, maintain accurate data in corporate systems and prepare practical reports on incidents, findings, overdue actions, recurring risks and deployment progress

We'd love to meet you if you have

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree or equivalent qualification in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, Facilities Management or a related discipline
  • Professional Health & Safety qualifications, such as NEBOSH, IOSH or an equivalent international credential, are strongly preferred
  • At least 5 years of Health & Safety experience, including substantial responsibility in a global or multi-country retail, luxury, consumer goods, hospitality or similarly customer-facing environment. Experience managing a geographically dispersed network of stores is essential
  • Strong knowledge of occupational Health & Safety management systems, ISO 45001, risk assessment, legal compliance, audits and inspections, incident investigation, contractor management, emergency preparedness and continuous improvement
  • Technical credibility with strong stakeholder management, persuasion and coaching skills. You can influence without direct authority, build effective relationships across cultures and functions, and create shared accountability for Health & Safety performance;
  • English and Spanish are a must; French or other languages would be an advantage
  • Availability to travel internationally

We welcome Creators Of All Kinds. If you are unsure of meeting all the requirements but trust you have the transferable skills to excel in this role, complete the application and our teams will get in touch if you are selected for an interview.

What you'll love about us

  • An entrepreneurial, creative and welcoming work culture
  • A range of learning and development opportunities
  • An international company with plenty of opportunities to grow
  • A competitive compensation & benefits package
