The Opportunity
MARKET:
The past years, the market of niche fragrances is developing and niche fragrances are becoming more and
more popular. Puig is focusing on the niche market with our brands Penhaligon’s, L’Artisan Parfumeur, Dries
van Noten and the recently to Puig transitioned brands Byredo and Dr. Barbara Sturm.
MISSION:
The KAM Niche is responsible for building the business in a sustainable way within the 2 biggest Niche
accounts in the Netherlands and distribution via our independent niche players in the Benelux. Within your role
you will be responsible to develop and maintain a collaborative relationship with Skins and De Bijenkorf.
Additionally, you are the commercial contact for independent niche customers in the Benelux and visit them on
a regular basis. You are part of the Commercial team and will report directly to the Commercial Director. With
your ownership, entrepreneurial qualities, business insight, strong knowledge of category management, your
agility and strong focus on relations you will contribute to drive the business to a maximum on the long-term.
Key responsibilities
Deep understanding of the niche market and your customers, delivering the company objectives; distribution of
our niche brands, value market share and net revenues in line with financial KPI’s.
Develop and implement the niche strategy and plans in line with company priorities for your accounts:
• Visit all the top doors of both key accounts and independents on a regular basis; you are the ears and eyes
in the market
• Coordinate with Brand Manager Niche and Ecommerce Key Account Manager to develop the annual
account plans and budgets.
• Lead and prepare COOP negotiations in collaboration with the Brand Manager Niche and Ecommerce Keay
Account Manager
• Partner of the Brand Manager to achieve the company strategy on door level.
• Lead annual condition meetings and follow up through the year with the retailer
Keep the day-to-day management of the accounts:
• Regular field visits of both key accounts and independent doors to maintain a solid relationship with the
customer and have a clear overview of the competition and developments in the market
• Link-in pin role: set up manage and drive cross-functional interaction between retailer and team and
internal with subsidiary and HQ. Ensure an efficient coordination within the organization
• Set, prepare, and follow-up business update meetings on a regular basis
• Follow up on monthly budget closure (reporting, analysis, action plan to be put in place)
• Responsibility sell-in launches and sets, from negotiations to on-shelf incl. GWP /sample support.
• Manage best in class assortment in collaboration with Marketing, driving best -sellers on shelf
• Lead collaborative planning with key retailers; right stock levels in the right places
Your profile
REQUIREMENTS:
• Academic/bachelor degree; Business Administration, Business and Management, Marketing Management.
• Min of 4 year working experience towards key account management or category management, online
experience is a plus.
• Experience in cosmetics or FMCG, preferred at an A-Brand Player.
• Fluent in Dutch and English, French is a plus.
