The Opportunity

Reporting to the Operations Director, the Demand & Supply Planning Manager leads the end-to-end planning agenda for Oceania, translating demand signals, retailer commitments, launch plans and supply constraints into an integrated operational plan that supports service, revenue and working capital objectives across a multi-brand fragrance and beauty portfolio.

The role owns the local S&OP process, demand consensus, supply risk management, inventory governance and planning team capability, partnering closely with Commercial, Marketing, Finance, Logistics, Customer Service and Global Planning.

Functions and Responsibilities:

Lead Sales and Operational Planning (S&OP) process

Supply Planning & Inventory Management

  • Lead the local supply planning agenda from HQ availability through to warehouse receipt, customer availability and shelf readiness.
  • Provide clear visibility of inbound supply, in-transit stock, DRP cycles, purchase orders, inventory projections, DIO/DIO TAM, and availability risks.
  • Prioritise supply constraints, define mitigation plans and communicate out-of-stock risk, recovery timing and business impact.
  • Partner with Global Supply Planning to secure replenishment priorities, manage production delays, allocation constraints, supply shortages and recovery plans.
  • Own inventory health governance, including overstock, slow-moving, obsolete and ageing stock, and drive cross-functional actions to reduce write-offs and working capital exposure.
  • Govern air freight decisions through clear business case assessment, balancing service risk, cost impact, SKU priority and sustainability considerations.
  • Secure launch and promotional supply readiness, including stock, testers, samples, GWP, POSM, inbound priorities, warehouse capacity and customer delivery readiness.
  • Drive continuous improvement in supply planning processes, tools, reporting, planning discipline and team capability.

Cross-functional and global stakeholder management

  • Lead cross-functional alignment between Commercial, Marketing, Finance, Logistics, Customer Service and Global Planning to ensure one integrated demand and supply plan.
  • Translate local market intelligence, retailer strategy, promotional activity and financial priorities into planning assumptions and decisions.
  • Represent Oceania planning priorities with Global Demand Planning and Global Supply Planning teams, ensuring local risks, opportunities and requirements are visible and actioned.
  • Establish clear communication routines for forecast changes, supply risks, launch priorities and business impacts.
  • Share best practices with other markets and contribute to continuous improvement of planning processes, tools and governance.

...

Retailer supply chain collaboration

  • Build senior working relationships with key retailer supply chain and buying teams to improve joint planning, service levels and supply chain efficiency.
  • Lead sell-out–driven joint forecasting with key retailers ahead of peak trading periods, launches and major promotions, converting point-of-sale demand into aligned sell-in, replenishment and on-shelf availability.
  • Understand retailer inventory strategies, service expectations and operational constraints to improve forecast quality, product availability and customer service outcomes.
  • Review joint performance against service level, forecast accuracy, supply execution and agreed improvement actions.

  • Leverage AI-enabled tools such as Microsoft Copilot to improve planning productivity, scenario analysis, automation and decision support.
  • Safeguard and monitor master-data integrity across ERP and planning systems (e.g. SAP and SAP IBP), ensuring accuracy and consistency to support key planning processes such as DRP, forecast submissions, and inventory projections.

Team Leadership & Planning Capability Development

  • Manage, coach and develop the local Demand and Supply Planning team, ensuring role clarity, priorities and effective workload allocation.
  • Set the team operating rhythm across demand planning, supply planning, S&OP, launch planning, inventory governance and reporting.
  • Build capability through coaching, process discipline, knowledge sharing and adoption of best practices.
  • Monitor team performance against forecast accuracy, bias, service level, inventory health and planning cycle adherence.
  • Foster a proactive, analytical and solution-oriented team culture focused on service, inventory and continuous improvement.
  • Support succession planning, onboarding and training for planning roles within the Oceania Operations team.
