Commercial Coordinator

Location: Sydney

 

Mission: This role reports to the National Key Account Manager (KAM) and is responsible to support the Puig Oceania market strategy by accomplishing both operational and administrative commercial responsibilities. This role plays an imperative part to driving sell in net revenue targets and achieving sell-out retail sales targets.

 

Specific perimeter: Australia: Department Stores, Chemists, Retail Specialists, Independents

Brands: Paco Rabanne, Jean Paul Gaultier, Carolina Herrera, Christian Louboutin Beauty, Penhaligons, L'Artisan Parfumeur

 

Strategy:

 

  • Understand the full potential of the Puig fragrance portfolio; channel size, forecasted growth, business plan objectives, distribution network, key stakeholders, brand plans, relationship advancement with partners, market combination, market share anaylsis, budget tracking, strategy vision and company goals
  • Have customer insights and knowledge to suit the current needs of the business and the forward thinking of relevance, curiousity and acceleration opportunities
  • Provide information to the Commercial Team that finds ways to increase sales both net and retail, makes recommedations and follows through to implementation striving for excellence  
  • Lead the weekly Commercial Account Manager meeting , by inviting head office representatives  and by providing up to date information from internal departments, goal setting, issue management and broad support to the team for general business matters

 

Functions and Responsibilities:

 

  • Plan and arrange workstreams with the Commercial team collaboratively
  • Understand outline of terms & conditions within Puig Commercial Framework,
  • Understand spaces, position and locations of our brands in the market
  • Understand the hierarchy of our business and store classification segementation 
  • Work inside the prescribed partner arrangements on purchase capacity
  • Be actively immersed in the category and aware of our rankings at all levels
  • Develop a thorough knowledge of our products, key lines and areas of expertise
  • Promote the objectives and practical requirements of our seasonal promotional plan linked with building tactical targets for our remote field sales force with the objective to grow the accounts in terms of retail sales, net revenues, market share, profitability, rankings and retail excellence.
  • Assist Account Managers on reconciliation of Brand Ambassador listings for on counter promotions and performance outcomes
  • Understake store visits as required to support Account Management as frequently as once a week and in line with Account needs’ primarily RS but not excluding other channels
  • Review the ROI on animations and activations or bespoke counters
  • Build effective, strong and collaborative relationships with our external partners
  • Coordinate daily and weekly requests and priorities from external and internal stakeholders
  • Inventory analysis, including stock volume, stock inbound, stock outbound, stock shortage or excess, stock requests, stock allocations and stock returns
  • Administer the PO system related to Commercial
  • Reporting as required and defined by the National KAM on sell in, sell out and some levels of forecasting by product by core by new by channel
  • Reporting also inclusive of regular Regional reports, General Manager reports, National Sales Manager reports and adhoc reports
  • General reporting may also include quarterly, seasonal or annual formats
  • Extraction, analysis and sharing of data with our Head Office community
  • Share weekly the retail results in a formal reporting pattern
  • Compiling tracking reports for promotions, launches, specialised plans
  • Manage administrative tasks such as product code maintenance, pricing maintenance and order form maintenance
  • Assessment and on request reporting to competition activity
  • Assessment and on request reporting to customer mix
  • Alertness to media trends and overall Beauty and Puig company news
