HR Manager

Human Resources Manager

 

Location: Shanghai

 

Mission:

We are looking for a driven and hands-on Human Resources Manager to pioneer the HR function for our business entity, Puig China. The HR Manager will help to setup the HR framework to fulfill the business plan in China. We are growing the business operations from back office to front line, and this role is critical in supporting our General Manger, China in expanding the workforce. This role will functionally report to the HR Director, Asia Pacific, to ensure the fulfilment of regional goals, strategies and local compliance. The successful candidate should be a self-starter who is resilient, enterprising and able to cope in a fast-paced environment.

Functions and Responsibilities:

 

Talent Acquisition

  • Define the hiring process, deliver an exceptional experience to candidates
  • Lead the hiring projects for new stores to meet opening schedule
  • Arrange orientation and onboarding for new joiners
  • Develop and optimise sourcing channels such as recruitment event, recruitment agencies, employee referral
  • Take a proactive approach on sourcing and building talent pipeline

 

Talent Management

  • Partner with department heads to retain key positions and high potential employees
  • Manage the performance management process at local level to build a high performing culture
  • Partner with managers on development plans and the employees’ improvement programs

 

Compensation and Benefits

  • Supervise and coordinate payroll process through an external payroll provider
  • Participate annual budget plan to project HR related costs
  • Maintain, update and educate employees on HR policies and employee handbooks
  • Handle HR monthly reports, such as fixed cost, HC report as required by Corporate HR

 

HR Operations

  • Responsible for the local personal data maintenance, ensure a proper documentation and filing process are in placed
  • Prepare on and off-boarding of employees, liaise with different internal parties on setup
  • Collaborate with other departments to organize staff events

 

 

 

 

Requirements:

  • Experience: At least 10 years of relevant experience in a HR generalist role, preferably with experience working in luxury beauty or related industry
  • Education: Degree in Human Resources Management and/or any related Professional Certification in Human Resources
  • Languages: English and Mandarin
  • Skills and Knowledge:
    • Strong knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines including recruitment, compensation and benefits, learning and development and performance management
    • Well versed in China employment law
    • Candidate with store opening experience would be highly preferred
    • Strong in reporting and analyzing skills
    • Demonstrated strong employee relations skills
    • Efficient, willingness to be hands-on, deadline-oriented and able to work under pressure
    • Good interpersonal skills, and cross culture communication
    • Problem-solving skills
