The Opportunity

Own and improve the Demand Planning process for Prestige brands in the US Market across fragrance and makeup categories. Build an accurate sales forecast by gathering market intelligence data. Work closely with local and global teams to allow product availability, high service levels, and contribute to optimized global inventory levels. Follow up on the alignment between the forecast and budget while understanding discrepancies. Support and drive the Sales & Operational Planning process. Support and drive initiatives, such as increased utilization of statistical modeling, machine learning, and integration of sell-out data into planning decisions.

What you'll get to do

•    Continuously improve planning processes in support of Prestige brands by drawing from experience, learning new skills, adapting to change, and benchmarking best practices from other brands or markets
•    Understand the market dynamics of seasonality, competitive activity, trends and sales objectives for the US market, to make value-added modifications 
•    Responsible for current inventory levels and future projections against sell-out plans and consumer trends
•    Ensure demand plan accuracy and consumption to achieve financial plans
•    Work with Supply Planning to adjust plans for opportunities and constraints
•    Provide visibility on short- and long-term sales forecast to Global Demand Planning team
•    Monitor and control KPI's: forecast accuracy, inventory costs, service level
•    Lead and develop US Demand Planning initiatives based on market and business needs as the business continually evolves, especially in makeup
•    Strong cross-functional partner for Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, Logistics and Finance team in the US, serving as the point person for key information
•    Evaluate shipment patterns and seasonal sales, as well as monitor inventory to gain insights in order to prepare accurate forecasting plans and recommendations to leadership
•    Communicate significant forecast changes and what-if projections in line with operating strategy; review latest supply situation and manage resulting forecast updates.
•    Generate ad hoc reports based on business needs

We'd love to meet you if you have

•    Bachelor's Degree with a Major in Supply Chain, Logistics, Economics, or related field is a plus
•    5+ years of experience in Supply Chain Management, Demand Planning, and Inventory Management
•    Experience with forecasting in the US market
•    Effective collaboration with your team and manager with the ability to also work independently
•    Experience using a planning tool, such as IBP or equivalent 
•    Beauty industry experience, especially makeup demand or supply planning experience is preferred
•    Self-driven and entrepreneurial with strong presentation skills 
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially strong in excel)
•    Proficiency in SAP or other related Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems
•    Demonstrated operational effectiveness and analytical skills
•    Demonstrates high EQ and interpersonal skills
