Human Resources Generalist

The Human Resources Generalist will report to the HR Manager and participate in all HR related activities for Travel Retail Americas & Latam Distributors business units, including Payroll & Benefits accuracy, Employee Relations, Organizational Data, Reporting, Recruiting, Talent development, and other HR initiatives.


General Responsibilities/Key Tasks 

  • Provide daily HR support in respect of all generalist HR activities for Travel Retail Americas & Latam Distributors business units with help and guidance of the HR Manager 
  • Demonstrate entrepreneurship in performing assigned responsibilities, as well as suggesting improvements in current HR practices.
  • Build relationships with local and global teams, by providing proper communication, follow ups and partnership.
  • Maintain a pulse on employee engagement through ongoing dialogue with employees.
  • Focus on demonstrating teamwork within and outside the HR department in handling assigned responsibilities and activities.
  • Embrace and cultivate PUIG culture and values at all times.


Talent Acquisition & Performance Management:

  • Involvement in all aspects of people management including Recruitment, Performance Management, Training, and Talent Review / Development with the support of HR manager.
  • Work with department heads to help identify and assess training/developmental needs.
  • Handle temps, freelancers/consultant for exceptional needs.
  • Stay abreast of external trends and research relevant to HR and talent management.
  • Support company-wide global HR initiatives and communicate in an engaging way to assigned population.
  • Monitor and partner (alongside HR Manager & Finance) to ensure adherence to budget commitments.


Employee Experience:

  • With the support of the HR team, develop and drive on boarding experience, employee events, wellness initiatives, development programs, D&I initiatives, & sustainability actions.
  • Proactively identify improvement opportunities to enhance WFH model/Hybrid model and other initiatives around flexible work models.
  • Support and build strong relationships with internal stakeholders.
  • Serve as first escalation point for staff, & management, related to employee services, benefits, and counseling per assigned employee population.
  • Maintain HR Policies and procedures as necessary, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and best practice with HQ & local HR team for all Miami office population.


Payroll and Reporting:

  • Responsible for monthly and ad hoc HR reporting requests from HQ, ensure accuracy and timeliness. Reports require partnership with Finance and HR HQ.
  • Review and inspect payroll and benefits accuracy each pay period (bimonthly), and submit edits as needed (new hires, terminations, organizational changes, pay outs).
  • Partner with HR Shared services on leave of absence process, tracking, and communication.
  • Work with Finance on a regular and as needed basis.


HR Administration:

  • Manage hiring, changes and termination paperwork for all employees, review accuracy and completion.
  • Constant communication with shared payroll & benefits team (Carolina Herrera), NA team, IT team (local + global) and finance team (local & global) on any changes affecting pay or employment status.
  • Update Master Data Employees on SAP regularly.
  • Monitor and administer PTO and leaves of absence based on employee need, as well as company and government requirement.
  • Vendor management, purshase orders and payment follow up for contracted HR services.


Profile requirement:

  • Bachelor’s degree required with 3-5 years’ work experience in Human Resources or related field. Beauty industry and Travel Retail experience a plus.
  • A warm, authentic, and fair personality is a must.
  • Candidate with excellent collaboration, influencing, project management, organizational, and change agent skills required.
