Your passion for retail excellence, with a people first mindset, planning effectively and prioritising business goals, is essential to achieving success in an ever-changing omnichannel environment that you will operate within. You also have an extensive knowledge of the Fragrance and Beauty industry, and you can demonstrate an agile way of working that can adapt, change and even predict the changes that are coming within the marketplace.


Areas of Responsibility


Building High Performing Teams


  • Optimises the team performance by working closely with the HR Team to leverage best practice solutions and compliance with all local employment laws (not limited to performance management, recruitment, people review etc).
  • Is skilled and knowledgeable with the application of Make-up Artistry has skill at a level to be able to have a consultation with a client and coach trained make-up artists within their team.
  • Supports their management team in all areas of people management, with expert advice and knowledge.
  • Has the ability to guide and advise their team with the initial steps to take when addressing employee relations matters, including, performance management, investigations, disciplinary hearings and performance reviews.
  • Empower and challenge the Management team(s) and Store Teams to deliver their goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Retail and Head of Education, to identify development needs and create effective development solutions for the retail team.
  • Effectively manage the temp staffing budgets to maximise retail sales whilst remaining focused on having a sustainable, profitable growth mindset.
  • Create a seamless consumer experience by delivering a strong cohesive sales and education strategy.
  • Drive business performance by exceeding personal and regional targets, through operational retail excellence.
  • Build an ambitious regional strategy that is implemented effectively in collaboration with the Head of Retail.
  • Sponsoring incentive programmes to create a strong engagement culture across the region.
  • Develop a regional succession plan for key roles and actively work on the development of a pipeline of talent to meet future needs of the region and Company.
  • Ensure training guidelines are understood and implemented with all retail store teams (BAs and BCs) through education initiatives focused on brand and product knowledge, sales techniques and consumer experience expectations.
  • Aspire for the region to be known as a centre of excellence within the Company.
  • Responsible for maintaining a full headcount within the region and collaborating with relevant stakeholders to advertise and recruit new talent at the earliest opportunity.


Effective Leader & Coach


  • Lead and develop a team consisting of Business Managers, Account Managers and Brand Ambassadors, role modelling the Company values and culture.
  • Lead by example within the Region, by working with the retailer group teams to maximise retail productivity.
  • Lead best practice for all retail operations and take ownership for their delivery.
  • Create a culture of support and teamwork that promotes a positive team culture.
  • Responsible for the ongoing development of all direct reports.
  • Lead by example and support the Education strategy.
  • Inspire the team to achieve business objectives.
  • Deliver year end performance reviews and support the team by regularly sharing feedback and creating a culture of performance and self-development.
  • Lead regular in store coaching days, focusing on the largest retail doors.


Delivering Retail Excellence (REx)


  • You are naturally passionate about the retail experience and your attention to detail and standards is infectious with your team.
  • Develop a culture of ‘love for our brands’ amongst the store teams, constantly challenging the retail experience and standards, to be the best experience it can be.
  • Capture and collate company audit data via the ‘REx tool’, planning audits to ensure company goals and expectations are achieved which captures insights, including competitor brands and store environment.    
  • Follow digital trends within the retail space and use knowledge to identify business opportunities.
  • Provide retail insights for the business to create a compelling consumer experience within prestige, premium and the niche fragrance sector.
  • Turn business insights into action plans to deliver strong, sustainable retail growth.


Influencing Skills


  • Collaborate with key stakeholders, to execute a door-by-door strategy that drives traffic, conversion, exceeds the needs of the local consumer and is aligned with the Company strategy.
  • Drive engagement and buy in from our larger non-staffed doors, through building retailer relationships and constantly challenging retail standards.
  • Provide retail insights for the business to create a compelling consumer experience within prestige, premium and the niche fragrance and beauty sector.
  • Agree and review retail targets with the Head of Retail regularly to ensure performance is on track, taking swift action where targets are not being achieved.
  • Turn business insights into cohesive action plans, resulting in strong sustainable retail growth.

  • Understands how the retail landscape is becoming increasingly digitalised and can appreciate how customer shopping trends and needs are changing.
  • Has an in-depth knowledge of market competition, omnichannel initiatives, trends, demographics and customer needs / behaviours / reactions and providing commercial feedback to key stakeholders.
  • Follow digital trends within the retail space and use knowledge to develop business and identify innovative opportunities.
  • Deliver strong results from the Customer Experience Survey program, by continually coaching teams to improve standards and results from the P.U.I.G selling ceremony.
  • Be courageous and take risks to drive and develop the business in new markets and by leveraging new technology.
  • Lead the in store selling teams to understand and deliver effective use of social media, leveraging opportunities to drive the business and to protect and enhance the company image.
  • Deliver education opportunities, via the digital tools and resources available to upskill in store selling teams.


Monitoring and Control


  • Provide retail insights for the business to create a compelling consumer experience within prestige, premium and the niche fragrance sector.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of surrounding competition, omni-channel initiatives, market trends, demographics, and customer needs / behaviours / reactions, ensuring relevant commercial feedback is provided to key stakeholders.
  • Turn business insights into action plans, resulting in retail growth.

  • 3+ years management experience in a Retail and / or Multi-Channel and Multi Site environment
  • A full, clean UK driving licence.
