Fragrance Consultant - Penhaligon’s  

Division: Retail 

Reports to: Store Manager  



The Fragrance Consultant is responsible for creating meaningful experiences so that we inspire human connections with our customers, providing the highest level of customer service and achieving sales goals through delivering compelling Fragrance Profiling experiences.  


Main Responsibilities 

Sales and Customer Service 

  • To create meaningful experiences so that we inspire human connections and loyalty 

  • To deliver compelling Fragrance Profiling experiences incorporating our company 4 Es.  

  • To maintain the highest standards of customer service in line with our 5 Steps to Service Excellence  

  • To tell compelling stories alongside brand and product guidelines 

  • To maintain up to date product knowledge of the complete Penhaligon’s product range and New Product Launches 

  • To stay abreast of all digital innovations and their role in supporting the Customer Experience 

  • To work towards the achievement of sales goals, via individual focusses and store KPIs, whilst actively converting footfall and linking sales  

  • Maintain a keen interest in the industry and market trends 


Stock and Product 

  • To comply with all procedures relating to stock control 

  • To be aware of the Company’s policy on refunds, exchanges, discounts etc. 

  • Ensure all stockroom areas are kept neat and tidy for quick and efficient service 

  • Participate in preparation and completion of bi-annual stock takes 


Operations and Procedures 

  • To convey ‘company policies and procedures’ to customers in all dealings regarding refunds, exchange, discounts etc. 

  • To maintain and update knowledge of company procedures etc., by reading and acting upon all internal memos via Workplace and My Perfumers  

  • Adhere to work schedule, inclusive of time and attendance 

  • Participate in all relevant training sessions, programmes and meetings as directed by store management and the Education Team 


Merchandising and Display 

  • To follow company visual merchandising guidelines 

  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and cleanliness front and back of house at all times
