PRIMARY PACKAGING DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER

ROLE DEFINITION

Location: BARCELONA

Mission:

To drive the technological innovation of our products: conception of new products, evolution and optimization of the packaging of our existing products.

Responsibilities/Key Tasks

Product conception:

• • Conception of a piece or several assembled pieces integrating constraints from Marketing department, packaging, and suppliers.
  • To control the costs.
  • Expertise of the CAO (Computer-Aided Optimization) tool to design and validate the conception.
  • Knowledge of materials and of their use and transformation.
  • Expertise of printing methods.
  • Come up with a conception of new constraints.

Project management:

• • Drive and coordination of meetings.
  • Marketing meetings.
  • Participation to project follow-up meetings.
  • Control of the development time limits.
  • Technical recommendation of the supplier choice.

Conception Approval:

• • To analyze of the first pieces and adjustments.
  • Technical File: to create and update the packaging Specification, plan, etc.
  • Trials with testing methods.

Continuous Improvement:

• • Any improvement asked by the diverse departments

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE

Experience:

2-5 years of related engineering experience, ideally including a background in cosmetics and perfumery.

Education:

Engineering.

Languages:

Required - English / Spanish.

Specific Knowledge required:

• Materials + Transformation.
• Printing techniques.
• Illustrator.                  
• Knowledge of decoration and industrial processes (plastic injection, metal stamping, decoration).       
• Solid expertise in CAD tools (Solidworks).
