Marketing Intelligence Manager

Location: Barcelona, Spain

Mission: This role reports to the Puig Spain Marketing Director with the purpose of unlocking growth in the Spanish business by passionately driving consumer & shopper insights at the heart of our strategy. Your mission will be to deliver data-driven market and consumer insights to enable the leadership team and other internal stakeholders to make strategic and timely investment decisions in line with the goals of the Puig brand portfolio (Lifestyle, Prestige and Niche Brands) in Spain.

 

The successful candidate will have a blend of business intelligence, consumer insights, digital analytics and data manipulation skills

 

Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Primary research projects: project management in time and in budget of a variety of different primary research projects or methodologies from set-up through final results, working with different external and internal stakeholders and working as the research expert internally.
  • 360 º data analysis: gathering relevant information from a wide range of sources (data sources such as Kantar/NPD/Ipsos panel, digital data such as social listening, qualitative and quantitative researches, CRM,..) to build meaningful insights and recommendations:

 

    • Be the consumer data centre of excellence by using internal and external sources of data.
    • Lead the collection and systematic analysis of market data (panels, socio-economy, demography…) ensuring information quality and accuracy.
    • Analyse data sources (qualitative and quantiative data) to get a better understanding of market and competitors trends, define opportunities and risks
    • Business optimization: support the understanding of what drives ROI within the category dynamics
    • Compile reports to inform Product Team, Marketing Director and General Manager about latest consumer trends, NPD and competitive activity
    • Support the Marketing Director and General Manager for strategic data and analytical actionable insight
    • Bring innovation in the way we gather insights (e.g. social media listening

 

  • Collaboration & communication: communicating and working with our marketing teams, media and commercial teams, putting the consumer in critical strategic discussions; building relationships with key stakeholders to understand their research needs and work alongside them to embed insights recommendations, respond to category and brand priorities:

 

    • Work closely with wider marketing team to drive consumer-centric mindset and ensure robust insights are actively woven into the strategy and campaign planning process
    • Drive usage and application of insights and learning through the business locally and to influence recommendation at global level.
    • Build on the team´s analytical skills and business knowledge
    • Enhancing existing analytical technics by promoting new methodologies and best practices in analytics field

 

Requirements:

 

  • Experience:
    • Demonstrable 4-5 years experience in market research whether in customer-side or agency-side
    • General knowledge of cosmetics & luxury industry is preferred. A keen interest in consumerism (offline and digital) and keeps up to date on latest market trends in the industry.
    • Experience of working with business leads and marketing teams to successfully meet deadlines in a fast-paced, rapidly-changing environment
    • Comfortable managing large and complex sets of data to lead data analysis in marketing, media (on & off) or commercial environment.
    • Shows a good understanding of both classical statistics and advanced modelling techniques
    • Possess a bachelor’s degree in a numerical discipline

 

  • Languages: Spanish and English fluent, any other language would be a plus.
