E-COMMERCE MERCHANDISING MANAGER - Carolina Herrera

We are currently searching for an ambitious fashion & beauty enthusiast with strong commercial experience  to join the Carolina Herrera international e-commerce team as Global E-Commerce Merchandising Manager.  In this role you will be responsible for leading and managing the global team of e-commerce merchandisers, developing and implementing the eCommerce merchandising strategy for our website to achieve our revenue and profitability targets.  Your goal will be to develop and implement the eCommerce Product strategy for our website to drive web sales growth, conversion, and improvements in the customer experience.  Crucial in ensuring our products are displayed on brand, the E-commerce merchandising team expertly curates our online collections across beauty & fashion using analytical and creative product selection tools. The role will include  collaboration with e-commerce experience teams, digital marketing, communication, marketing, retail, customer service and logistic teams to deliver capabilities that maximize product conversions that expand new customers and retain existing customers. 


RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS


•    Ongoing forecasting and buying in line with e-commerce objectives: entering quantities for the E-commerce business in the stock-buying and management system
•    Ongoing analysis of sales and product performance, to continuously optimize e-commerce buy and merchandising strategy
•    Strategically plan product collections, pages, content updates and featured shops based on inventory needs and marketing priorities
•    Develop e-commerce Trade calendars by region, collaborating closely with local markets and global digital marketing teams
•    Develop merchandising strategy based on product attributes, user behavior, and sales trends to drive conversion, UPT, and AOV while maintaining brand image and company goals.
•    Oversee site merchandising and content, setting the sales and business strategy for how best to sell our product and improve the customer journey.
•    Propose and define promotions as needed responding to business trends and in collaboration with markets.
•    Launch onsite A/B and multivariate tests and segmentation strategies to improve site experience. 
•    Responsible for optimizations to navigation, collections, search, and homepage, to improve relevancy and searchability
•    Liaise with CRM and Digital Marketing teams to develop personalized experiences for specific segments.
•    Responsible for growth and development of the team
•    Supervising the e-commerce department and allocating task to internal and external recourses
•    Report weekly on-site micro-conversions, adjust priorities accordingly and suggest actions based on findings.
•    Being able to develop and apply a SEO strategy in collaboration with an external agency.
•    Warehouse Management & Order fulfillment: manages team responsible for web inventory, timely order fulfillment and product shipments in collaboration with Supply Chain and Logistic.
•    Support digital marketing team with updates around product launches, KCP, promotional periods and selling reports.
•    Monitor competitive landscape and site benchmarks.
•    Identify, track and resolve technical issues within our platform as well as propose and thoroughly test new functionality while partnering with release and project management teams.

 

REQUIREMENTS


•    4-5 years of experience as an e-commerce merchandiser ideally in Beauty or fashion
•    1-2 years of experience in a managerial role
•    BA / BS required
•    Good knowledge of trading within EMEA, USA, LATAM and ME region
•    Strong analytical/numerical skills. 
•    Experience with Hybris, Demandware (Salesforce Commerce Cloud), Shopify, Magento or other ecommerce platforms
•    Experience with Google Analytics or other web analytics tools
•    Global luxury, fashion, beauty experience a plus
•    Passion for online shopping and new technologies
•    Extraordinary communication skills, both written and oral
•    Proven multi-tasker that can manage several projects at once under tight deadlines and accommodate rapid changes
•    Strong Microsoft Excel skills; 
•    An entrepreneurial spirit with the operational skills to ensure self-directed projects and ideas are seen through to execution
•    Attention to detail a must
•    Resource management experience
•    A Team player with a collaborative work approach.
•    Remains calm under pressure and leads by example.
•    Flexibility to adapt to changing business needs, dealing with ambiguity
•    Dam, SAP, Y2 experience is a plus.
•    Strategic knowledge of eCommerce retail landscape
•    Fluent English is essential. Spanish would be a real advantage.
